Twin Cities World Refugee Day
All Are Welcome Here sponsored a postcard writing event at Twin Cities World Refugee Day to show support for our newest Minnesotans. The messages of welcome — written in many different languages — were absolutely beautiful and inspiring.
Balie Folklorico
Balie Folklorico is an annual performance of folk dances from Spanish speaking countries by students at Park Spanish Immersion School. The students learn and practice the choreography after school and the costumes are handmade by school volunteers.
Taking the Oath of Citizenship
I was deeply honored to attend a naturalization ceremony at the International Institute of Minnesota. Studying for the U.S. citizenship test is incredibly time consuming, especially when you need to learn English to do so. Passing the test is a huge achievement. Taking the Oath of Citizenship is life changing.
Math Night
This larger than life evening of family fun and games was created to encourage mathematical thinking and exploration.

PSI Family Carnival
Supported by local business and community organizations, PSI Family Carnival is a fundraiser for the school Amity Intern Program. The Carnival hosts a wide variety of games and attractions, many of which involve fake blood, face paint, and toilet paper.
